Second major purpose-built student accommodation scheme by developer Gilltown for Coventry.

Proposals for a six-storey building of around 540 student rooms near the western edge of the University of Warwick has gone out to consultation.

The project will see the demolition of the current 50,000 sq ft office building known as Progress House on the Westwood Heath Business Park site.

Gilltown aims to start work, subject to planning, in Autumn next year.

James Gillespie, project manager for Gilltown, said: “We are delighted to working on these transformational plans to repurpose and revitalise this site in Coventry.

“The site no longer suits the current occupier’s business requirements, providing an ideal opportunity for PBSA redevelopment, as the building fronts Westwood Way and is a short walk from the western edge the University of Warwick campus.”
