Panattoni has received the green light for its speculative logistics venture covering 200,000 square feet in Crawley. Named Panattoni Park Crawley, this endeavor will encompass two facilities, measuring 134,012 sq ft and 65,660 sq ft, respectively. The development will be situated on a ten-acre brownfield site on Fleming Way, strategically positioned within the established industrial sector of Manor Royal Business District, closely situated near Gatwick Airport.

Manor Royal’s reputation as a reliable last-mile and distribution hub is underscored by its occupants, which include prominent names like Amazon, DPD, Evri, Parcelforce, Royal Mail, UPS, and Yodel.

Construction is anticipated to commence by the end of September 2023, with the speculative project slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024. Both facilities will be constructed to achieve an Excellent rating on the BREEAM sustainability scale and hold an A rating on the EPC scale.

David McGougan, Panattoni’s Development Director, expressed optimism about the upcoming construction, emphasizing that this will mark the company’s third site development in the south of London within the last three months. He conveyed the firm’s confidence in the robustness of the south coast’s logistics market and highlighted the strategic location of the Manor Royal Business Park as ideal for servicing the London and southeastern markets.

Panattoni Park Crawley marks Panattoni’s third development commencement this year in the southern part of London. It joins the ranks of a 452,469 sq ft last-mile logistics project in Burgess Hill and a 268,063 sq ft development in Brighton.

JLL, Savills, and Hollis Hockley will serve as letting agents for this project.
