This project, a joint venture between Olympian Homes and Housing Growth Partnership (HGP), aims to construct a 790-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in the city’s heart.Dubbed Forest Mill, the development is set to feature 790 beds across three buildings. The project will cater to the growing demand for student housing with various amenities such as a cafe, co-working space, gym, yoga studio, cinema room, garden terrace, and a games area equipped with table tennis, air hockey, fussball, shuffleboard, and a gaming booth. These facilities are increasingly sought after by students, enhancing the appeal of the development.Strategically located on Alfreton Road, the site is conveniently positioned for students, being just a 10-minute walk from Nottingham Trent University, a short bus ride from the University of Nottingham Jubilee Campus, and approximately a 15-minute walk from the city centre.In addition to the student accommodation, the project includes the construction of 19 high-quality affordable homes, which will contribute to the local council’s housing targets and provide crucial accommodation for residents on low incomes.The development’s initiation marks a first for Puma Property Finance in terms of scale, representing their largest debt funding transaction to date. The project, which began construction in December 2023, is expected to be completed in time for the 2025/26 academic year.
