Aspire Housing, a prominent housing association in the West Midlands, is actively seeking contractors to embark on a major £200 million housing project. The initiative, spanning over a decade, aims to enhance the region’s residential landscape, including Stoke-On-Trent, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, and Cheshire.

This substantial project will be executed through a dynamic purchasing system agreement, managed by Durata Developments, Aspire Housing’s development division. The plan encompasses both the construction of new housing developments and maintenance work on existing properties.

The project has been categorised into four distinct lots, each with its unique focus:

  1. Contractors for projects up to £5 million : This lot will concentrate on developing smaller housing schemes, ranging from 3 to 30 properties, and includes the construction of small apartment buildings.

2. Contractors for projects over £5 million : This segment targets larger residential developments, typically involving more than 30 properties or the redevelopment of expansive sites.

3. Minor Works up to £250,000: The third lot is dedicated to smaller scale tasks such as painting, decorating, minor repairs, and the installation of fixtures and fittings.

4. Section 111 & 278 Technical Approval: This category involves construction related to site highways, pavements, and earthworks.

Contractors interested in participating in this significant housing initiative can access procurement documents for further details.

In addition to these new projects, Aspire Housing is also inviting firms to join a separate £20 million scheme over the next ten years. This scheme is focused on repairs and maintenance of Aspire’s existing housing stock. The range of work includes diverse areas such as civil engineering, drainage, brickwork, window repairs, roofing, heating, and plumbing, covering a broad spectrum of maintenance needs.
