North East Lincolnshire Council has launched a tender for the principal contractor role in the construction of the landmark Sea Road building in Cleethorpes. This development, part of an £18.4 million Levelling Up Funding initiative, aims to transform key areas of the seafront, including Market Place, Pier Gardens, and Sea Road. The project includes a three-storey state-of-the-art building at the former Waves site, featuring public amenities, changing facilities, and commercially lettable space. The construction is set to begin following Easter 2024, with completion expected by summer 2025. This development represents a significant investment into Cleethorpes, promising to enhance its appeal as a year-round destination and create new employment opportunities.
