A regeneration plan for Radstock town centre has been released, with the local council seeking input from residents and businesses. The plan aims to revitalise the town by refurbishing vacant buildings, creating community spaces, and improving green areas.

The proposal was developed based on feedback from public surveys conducted in autumn 2021 and spring 2022. It includes projects like developing indoor and outdoor community spaces, redeveloping brownfield sites, and enhancing town navigation.

Funding for this initiative comes from the West of England Combined Authority’s Housing and Regeneration Enabling Fund, which has allocated £750,000 for regeneration plans in Radstock and other towns.

The action plan is a collaborative effort between Bath & North East Somerset Council and Radstock Town Council. The community survey is open for responses until December 4.

Key projects in the plan focus on community facilities, event spaces, redevelopment of underused sites, tree planting, and improving natural and community spaces. Following Radstock, regeneration plans for Midsomer Norton, Twerton, and Keynsham are expected between 2023 and 2025.
