Liverpool-based developer Legacie has revealed its ambitious plans for a £200 million residential project near Liverpool’s city centre. The Gateway scheme, designed by Falconer Chester Hall, will be situated on Leeds Street and will consist of 656 flats, ranging from one to three bedrooms.

The development will feature four towers, each rising to 15 stories, with two of the buildings connected by a skybridge. Legacie Developments acquired the site following the collapse of the previous developer, Vinco Group, who had planned a slightly larger project on the site, located in the emerging ‘Northern Quarter’ area, close to the city’s central business district.

The Leeds Street development will offer various amenities, including a garden spa with an infrared sauna, swimming pool, ice bath, and oxygen chamber. Additionally, residents will have access to two gyms, two lounges with a cinema room, landscaped gardens, a coffee shop, and a convenience store.

The complex will be similar in scale to Legacie’s Parliament Square development, situated on the edge of the Baltic Triangle. Legacie Developments anticipates that The Gateway scheme will create over 250 local construction jobs and 25 apprenticeships.

John Morley, CEO of Legacie Developments, expressed his excitement about the plans for The Gateway, emphasizing the project’s potential to catalyze further regeneration and provide an economic boost to the region. He also highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering a development that the city can take pride in, after the site had remained vacant for an extended period.
